World Outspoken Student Survey
We here at World Outspoken are looking to create what we are tentatively calling “communities of practice.” Communities of practice are a concept that come out of social scientists who were interested in studying how mentees were learning from mentors. They discovered that mentees were not just learning from the one person who was designated a mentor, but from an entire community that surrounded them and their mentor, which the observers called a “living curriculum.” At World Outspoken, we are interested in creating spaces and providing resources for those imagining a church otherwise, a world otherwise. We consider you a part of that group, a member of the church in between. So, we are asking you to take this short survey and/or join a focus group so that we can better understand what a “living curriculum” of these communities of practice might look like. What topics or content? Who would make up the group? Who would facilitate? These are all questions we want to discern with you because, ultimately, this is for you. Thanks for being willing! We look forward to seeing your response.
