We are looking for a Nominating Committee Chairperson and 2-3 additional volunteers to serve. The nominating committee's is an integral part of the PS 65 PTA election cycle and duties include the following:
- Canvassing the membership for eligible candidates;
- Preparing and distributing all notices of any meeting pertaining to the nomination and election process, in accordance with CR A-660;
- Preparing the ballots, attendance sheets, ballot box, tally sheets, and other materials pertaining to the election;
- Verifying the eligibility of all interested candidates prior to the election;
- Ensuring that an opportunity for nominations, including self-nominations are received by April 19, 2024.
- Scheduling the election at a time that ensures maximum participation;
- Ensuring that only eligible members receive a ballot for voting;
- Ensuring that the election is certified by the principal or his/her designee immediately following the election

Estamos buscando un presidente del Comité de Nominaciones y 2 o 3 voluntarios adicionales para servir. El comité de nominaciones es una parte integral del ciclo electoral de la PTA de PS 65 y sus deberes incluyen lo siguiente:
- Sondear a los miembros en busca de candidatos elegibles;
- Preparar y distribuir todos los avisos de cualquier reunión relacionada con el proceso de nominación y elección, de conformidad con CR A-660;
- Preparar las papeletas, hojas de asistencia, urnas, actas de escrutinio y demás materiales relacionados con la elección;
- Verificar la elegibilidad de todos los candidatos interesados antes de la elección;
- Garantizar que se reciba una oportunidad para nominaciones, incluidas las autonominaciones, antes del 19 de abril de 2024.
- Programar las elecciones en un momento que garantice la máxima participación;
- Garantizar que sólo los miembros elegibles reciban una papeleta para votar;
- Garantizar que la elección sea certificada por el director o su designado inmediatamente después de la elección.
