On Wednesday, April 27th we will be holding our second volunteer event with the Gowanus Canal Conservancy! This event will likely be held at Lowlands Nursery at the 9th Street Bridge (25 9th Street, Brooklyn 11215) only 20 minutes from campus (by subway). Volunteer work may include gardening in native plant gardens such as weeding, and applying mulch and compost; potting up native plants in the Lowlands Nursery, and/or creating soil mixes using compost.
