  • Elected Officers are elected in late May by the PTA General Membership, serve all year, and begin work in the summer months to plan for the next school year. They have a cap of 2 years of service (President Elect and President serve for 1 year). They, along with the school principal, create the Executive Committee.
  • Standing Committee Chair/Co-Chairs are "active" all year long, although may not be "busy" each month with an activity. They, along with the Executive Committee, create the PTA Executive Board, and meet once a month during the school year.
  • Special Committee Chair/Co-Chairs are "active" for a specific event or activity such as the Fall Festival, STEAM Night, Budget committee. They lead the volunteers in the committee who are assigned tasks or subjects to oversee. Once their event/work is completed- they disband. Special Committee Chairs/Co-Chairs should attend the PTA Board meetings when work for their event is active.
  • PTA Volunteer Groups are not an "official" PTA committee, but serve together to support an identified need for the school or the PTA.
  • Volunteers are needed to be on each committee to support the work for the event/activity. They are assigned a task or subject to oversee for the event. When there are many hands, the work is light!
