The local food champion network aims to support people in finding their place and role within the wider FoodFutures network.
For some this may involve joining a FoodFutures working group, helping out at an
event or practical work day, or joining the Food Friends small society
lottery. For others it may involve writing articles for THRIVE Magazine,
distributing leaflets or regularly volunteering with a local community
food project. We aim to support you in finding a role that matches your
interests and skills.
By doing this, we aim to cultivate a network of Local Food Champions
that work and live in each hamlet, village, town and city in North
Lancashire.
To support this we will offer:
- An induction/ intro session to interested individuals.
- Sign you up to our Local Food Champion and FoodFutures newsletters.
- Invite you to skill share events and training sessions where relevant.
- Invite you to socials and networking events.
- Invite you to our decision making table – helping us shape our work going forwards.
This is a food citizen role. You will be supported in playing an active
part in democratically shaping our local food system to be more healthy, resilient and fair- whatever this may mean to you.
If interested, please fill out this application form. We will review applications at the end of each month and organise induction sessions accordingly.
If you are unable to fill out this google form, please email
