December Parent Teen Homework-Yr 2
This month we explore miracles of Jesus, ones he performed during His time on earth 2000 years ago and those He continues to give us today.  The first video is from a TV series on the life of Jesus called The Chosen and available through media apps, should you want to watch other episodes.
Each video you will be watching has many things to learn and take away from it.  What does the Lord want to teach you?  Before you start, Pray - Come Holy Spirit and open my eyes and heart to what I am to learn in how to follow Jesus.

Name, first and last *
During our class, we showed a list of Jesus' miracles from the Bible.  What was one of the miracles that you and your parent had already recalled before we showed the list? *
This video is from The Chosen series on Jesus' life.  In it, Jesus and his disciples encounter a leper (a person with a contagious skin disease).  The following questions pertain to this video.  Have you watched this series on the life of Jesus before? *
Jesus heals the Leper - The Chosen
How does the reaction of the disciples to the leper differ from Jesus' reaction to the leper? *
Jesus has the power to heal the leper, but what did the leper first need to do before Jesus could heal him? *
In your Bible, read about this miracle in Mark 1: 40-45 (page 1301 in the Youth Bible).  After watching the video, does this story become easier for you to 'see' as you read it? *
We talked about miracles happening today with consecrated host (bread) during Mass.  The next video talks about the miracle in Buenos Aires in the 1990s. Had you ever heard of these type of miracles before? *
Eucharistic Miracle of Buenos Aires
When a host is dropped on the floor, what does the church direct us to do with this host so it dissolves? *
After a few days, what did they find forming on the hosts? *
Did the scientists examining it know that it was from a consecrated host?  Why would this matter? *
Name one thing that they found in examining the sample tissue. *
The speaker says what we can gather from these miracles is that "Jesus' heart is always truly present to us in the Eucharist".  How will this effect you the next time you go to Mass and receive communion? *
What is the one thing that you will most remember from this class or homework? *
