About Us: The Vineland Historical and Antiquarian Society
Please note, our facility does have a ramp for easy access to the lower level. However, we currently have just one small restroom and no elevator access to the second floor. We hope to secure funding for future improvements, including an elevator.

The Vineland Historical and Antiquarian Society is the oldest local historical society in New Jersey, headquartered in the oldest purpose-built museum in the state. It was founded in 1864, just three years after the town of Vineland was established by Philadelphia attorney Charles K. Landis, who was a life member of the organization.

The museum is a treasure trove of objects and records that your students are sure to enjoy, including glassware, art, Native American artifacts, Civil War memorabilia and more! The First House ever built in Vineland (in 1862) is located on the grounds of the museum and is available for tours.

The Society is a non-profit organization that relies on donations and financial support from the community.

Location: 108 S Seventh St, Vineland, NJ 08360
