We will be walking through the park looking for pollinators (bees, flies, butterflies, moths, beetles, etc.), visiting a flower. All you will need is a smartphone with a camera and a good pair of shoes. The photos you take of any pollinators can be uploaded to iNaturalist to participate in the Calgary Pollinators Community Science Project. We suggest downloading iNaturalist, creating an account, and joining the Calgary Pollinators Project ahead of time.
The data collected during community pollinator walks will be used in research at the University of Calgary to investigate the relationships between plants and pollinators in Calgary.
