Saplings to Forest Writing Workshop Registration
Greetings! My name is Luna Merbruja and I'm a Lambda Literary Finalist who has published Trauma Queen (memoir), Heal Your Love (poetry), short stories in Nerve Endings: The New Trans Erotic and The Resilience Anthology, and an essay in the 2nd edition of Colonize This!

I've run several writing workshops over the past decade for community. In March of 2022, I'll be facilitating "Saplings to Forest," a writing workshop series for queer and trans writers. We will meet 2 hours once a week for 4 weeks. Payment is sliding scale $30-$100 total for all 4 sessions due by March 1st, 2022. Specific workshop times and dates are listed in the form below. This workshop is limited to queer and trans writers of any skill level and genre.

The goal of this workshop is learn how to start and finish a writing project. We will learn how to brainstorm and outline, respond to existing trans literature, analyze a piece for its themes, push beyond your usual genre, use descriptive writing, incorporate research, develop multi-dimensional characters, and learn how to edit to a final draft. Feeling overwhelmed by this list? That's okay! I promise you that we'll be learning together as a group and there are no wrongs regarding your writing. My intention is to share as many tools as I can to assist in your writing process.

Things to note:
- There are only 20 spots, so register early!
- This series will be held virtually through Discord (I will run a practice session for those that need one).
- The last day to register for this series is 11:59pm on Friday, February 25th, 2022.
- You will be notified of your acceptance and workshop times by Sunday, February 27th, 2022.
