Ayibobo!

Dr. Emilie Zila Jabouin's historical, cultural and immersive approach to teaching folklore Ayisyen/ Haitian folk by incorporating drumming, dancing, and chanting/breath are coming together to offer you a 2-hour class of movement & meditation, body awareness, rhythmicality, harmony.

This special workshop will focus on building from the basics, whether it be in drumming, or dancing, and invites drummers to also join themselves to dancers to create a more immersive dance class. All levels are welcome.

Given the particularly stressful situations happening around the world, this workshop is also a call to come together, pause, reconnect with ourselves, and process.
