Palmyra Elementary PTO Nomination Form
Greetings!
Thank you for your interest in the Palmyra Elementary PTO Executive Board. PTO Executive Board Members are VOTED into office during the APRIL 18th PTO meeting and serve 1 year terms. (July 1st-June 30th)

With upcoming elections and a new school year on the horizon, the PTO is looking for NEW leaders to help move them into the future! We need leaders who are willing to donate their time and expertise to coordinate and plan the various programs and fundraisers to make our PTO successful!

Candidates should consider the following:
 ● All positions are rewarding, fulfilling, and allow you to be very involved at your child(rens) school
 ● The organization has been rebuilt and restructured from previous years to allow for a more simple and streamlined approach
● All positions are a one (1) year term and do require a great deal of responsibility and time commitment. The best interest of the students and the school is always considered.
 ● Positions can be shared to help reduce the time commitment on any one person/position
 ● Immediate past president(s) stay on as an official member(s) in an advisory capacity for one year only

Nomination timeline and process:
● Nomination Forms are Due on April 11th, 2023
 ● School wide PTO meeting April 13th, 2023 @ 6:30pm to present slate of potential candidates, and to take any nominations from the floor  (Refreshments will be provided!)
● Voting for slate of candidates will take place on April 13th

President: Helps set the goals and direction for the PTO. Works with all four schools, principals and staff to schedule board meetings, fundraisers and other events. Creates agendas and chairs board meetings and executive meetings. Oversees and coordinates the board's work and committee chairs. Delegates tasks and fills in as needed. Helps set and administer the budget.

Co-President: We are looking for someone to sit along side the president to learn the ropes so we can pass off the reigns and allow for easier transition. see above President role for description of role.

Vice President: Assist the president, perform the duties of the president if the president is absent or unable to serve, oversees committees and act as a liaison between chairpeople and the executive board.

Secretary: Serves to provide and assist in collaborative support of the PTO by keeping the minutes of all Executive and Committee meetings, and maintain master document and contact information of all members, board and teachers for reference.
