AMLE/HIDOE LEADERSHIP SUMMIT HIDOE Middle Level Educational Officers who service Grades 5-9 are invited to a special leadership summit on Monday, February 20. Take your leadership practice to the next level during an intimate afternoon with colleagues as we dive into essential middle-level education concepts.

Responsive Capacity Building: What Makes Middle-Level Education Special?
Session Objectives:
- Explore young adolescent development and neuroscience as a framework for why middle schoolers need a unique approach
- Provide context on how the unique needs of middle schoolers are reflected in the roles of teachers, administrators, and central office.

Healthy Habits, Healthy Schools: The Essential Attributes and Characteristics of Successful Middle Schools
- Option 1: Exploring the Essential Attributes and Characteristics of Successful Middle Schools from the viewpoint of New Principals/New to the Middle School Setting
- Option 2: Exploring the Essential Attributes and Characteristics of Successful Middle Schools from the viewpoint of the Veteran Middle School Principal
- Option 3: Exploring the Essential Attributes and Characteristics of Successful Middle Schools from the viewpoint of the Central Office Professionals

Digging Deeper into Key Middle School Model Concepts
- Option 1: Responsive Capacity Building through Teaming – Helping your Middle School Teachers be Most Effective in their Roles
- Option 2: Healthy Habits, Healthy Schools through Advisory – Building Relationships and Belonging as a Central Component of Middle School Culture
- Option 3: Action-Oriented Data Decision Making – Using your Data to Drive Middle School Best Practices

After debriefing the day, the faculty will tackle a final question: How do you get everyone on the same page?
