Summer 2024 Policy

Summer Semester: May 15- July 28, 2024

Attendance:

1. Your lesson schedule will be emailed to you.

2. Please text Mrs. Heim if you need to cancel a session (480) 227-7434. No makeup lessons or makeup group sessions are provided.

3. A session canceled on Mrs. Heim's part will be rescheduled. If you miss the make-up session, the session will not be rescheduled a second time.

4. Sessions will be taught in person at Valley Christian High School’s Music Hall (6900 W. Galveston St Chandler, AZ 85226). Individual FaceTime lessons are available if the Singer is out of town or prefers digital lessons.

Tuition for Summer Voice Lessons:

1. Tuition is $35 per 25-minute lesson. $50 per 35- minute lesson. This amount includes the fee for private voice lessons, sheet music, and management.

2. You may pay for the full summer session upfront or you can utilize a payment plan listed below.

Payment Plans:

If you took lessons during Spring Semester, your payments are due: May 25 and June 25.

If you are new to the studio, your 1st payment is due the day of your 1st lesson and again on June 25.

3. A late fee of $35 will be charged if tuition is not received by the 1st of the month.

4. Tuition is non-refundable.

5. Tuition can be paid via Zelle (discoverable at 480-227-7434), Venmo (discoverable @Marianne-Heim), cash, or check made out payable to Marianne Heim.

Withdrawals:

1. A 30-day notice is required to withdraw from the agreed upon lesson schedule.

2. Marianne Heim Vocal Studio can cancel sessions for any student at any time for any reason per the discretion of the instructor at the end of any paid month.

Preparation:

1. Come prepared. (I.e.: Music binder/iPad, pencil, and water). It is understood that your voice is a muscle. It is your responsibility to take care of your vocal health. Sleep, drink water, warm up, etc. With each person who takes lessons comes a calendar of auditions and performances, so please do not attend a session if you have any symptoms of illness.

2. It is mandatory that all students participating in a performance opportunity will come to the scheduled voice lesson and Showcase call time the week of the show. Failure to do so may result in the ineligibility to perform.

Performance Opportunities:

There is one Singer's Showcase at the end of the Summer. The Showcase will take place at the Valley Christian High School Music Hall. If a piano accompanist is needed, there will be a $30 accompanist fee due at the voice lesson prior to the Showcase. More detailed information will follow.

Liability Waiver: Physical activities such as performance, singing, dance, drama and musical theater carry a risk of injury to participants. By signing this Studio Policy, you are consenting to vocal training and release Marianne Heim of any liability whatsoever arising out of an injury, damage or loss which may be sustained by myself, my minor children, or any other family members, during the course of involvement with “Marianne Heim Vocal Studio” and it’s training location of “Valley Christian Schools”. This includes activities held in any studio, classroom, theater or performance location during lessons, classes, performances, or rehearsals and during any other activities sponsored by “Marianne Heim Vocal Studio” and “Valley Christian Schools”. *
