To help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and minimize landfill waste, the Town of West New York offers a food waste drop-off program with five convenient locations:
- 65th & Jackson
- West New York Public Library (425 60th St.)
- Department of Public Works (6200 Dewey Ave.)
- 5808 Jackson St. (Across from Miller Park)
- 6058 Boulevard East (Patricia McEldowney Park entrance)
This free service is available exclusively to West New York residents.
To maintain a clean and effective program, all drop-off sites are equipped with secured sheds featuring combination locks. Residents must complete a brief quiz and submit their information to receive a unique code via email for their selected location. Please do not share your code and ensure the lock is securely closed before leaving.
Exercise caution when handling the roof of the shed, as it may be heavy.
The program is operated by Neighborhood Compost. For questions or concerns, please contact rosezuares@westnewyorknj.org.
