Our districts want to meet the needs of our students and make sure they are ready for college, technical education, military, and/or the workplace after high school graduation.

The purpose of this survey is for you to let us know what you need in order to improve CTE programs.

Currently at Magnolia High School, we offer 15 Career Pathways. They are Agriculture Business, Animal Science, Agriculture Power, Structural & Technical Systems, A/V Technology & Film, Commercial Photography, Teaching & Training, Accounting, Sports Medicine, Nursing Services, Family & Community Services, Nutrition Science, Computer Science (Programming/Game Design), Marketing Business Enterprise, and Retail Management.

I would like for Magnolia to offer these additional career pathways.

At Magnolia Middle School, we offer career development and exploration courses. Please use the space provide to give recommendations, suggestions, and thoughts concerning early career exposure for students prior to high school.

How are career and technical education programs meeting the needs of students in Magnolia Schools?

Earn credentials or certifications to be "job ready" when they graduate.

Give students training in skills in specific career paths to prepare them for workforce.

Keep students interested in completing high school.

Prepare students with workplace attitudes and behaviors (work-ethic, workplace behavior, decision making, etc.)

Provide foundation for college and/or technical training after high school graduation.

Offer work-based learning opportunities for students to gain experience in their desired career.

Offer job shadowing opportunities for students to determine their interest in that career.

Offer more certifications to be "job ready" at graduation.

Practice basic math skills and/or technical reading skills used in the workplace.

Provide/update equipment for students to use that is similar to what is used in industry.

Use technology (hardware and software) that is similar to what is used in industry.

Provide teachers with professional development as needed to remain current in their fields.
