The Global Peace Leadership Conference is a three day strategic high level conference that will build consensus on response towards pressing regional and international challenges guided by a shared vision, principles, aspirations, and an innovative values based approach to improving the economy, education, security, leadership at all levels of society, youth productivity, and women empowerment as well as address community development needs.
GPF education initiatives engage educators and stakeholders to integrate ethics and twenty-first-century workforce skills into public secondary schools. Students experientially learn digital technology, explore entrepreneurial enterprises, build teamwork and real-world problem-solving skills, and develop core values of leadership and integrity.
Women Empowerment
The women empowerment track will examine the critical leadership role that women play in both sustainable peace building and strengthening families in their communities around the world.
Corporate Social Responsibility
The CSR track will examine the critical, yet often unrecognized role of private sector business and economic development in poverty reduction, sustainable development, and regional stability.
Interfaith and Peace Building
Through its Religious Freedom Initiatives, the Global Peace Foundation has championed and executed a range of multilateral initiatives that provide education, awareness, and advocacy in addressing international religious freedom violations and domestic religious liberty infringements.
Peace and Security
The conference track on peace and security will bring together experts and practitioners to discuss the root causes of conflicts in their regions, and their role in building strong and inclusive democratic institutions.
Role of the Media in Peace Building, Conflict Management, and Prevention
Information is power and insight can impact on public discourse. This way, perceptions can be changed by access to media. Different types of media are utilised globally to distribute knowledge and idealistically, free mass media is a tool of and signpost for democracy. Freedom of expression is not only the core of a healthy media but also a fundamental human right and vital for a democratic structure.
