Planning for ISAN 2023
Hi all,
Thanks for your willingness to complete this survey. All responses will remain confidential. We are only using the information to prepare for next year's conference, currently scheduled for January 3-5, 2023.

We will definitely have a virtual component to ISAN 2023. We also hope to have an in-person component to the symposium as well. However, in order to pursue the possibility of an in-person gathering, we need to assess how many people would attend the in-person symposium. Hotels often require a minimum number of guests/rooms and food purchases, and we need to determine if the in-person component will be viable financially.

We also want to assess the financial support/funding participants might be able to access in order to participate in the symposium. This might be funding from your university, or from a grant, or from another external source.

Finally, we will have the International Association of Autoethnography and Narrative (IAANI) business meeting on Monday, February 28 at 4pm (Eastern Standard Time). At this meeting, we will discuss the feedback from this survey and other aspects of ISAN 2023. All are welcome to attend.

If ISAN 2023 had an in-person component, would you travel to the symposium? *
Will you have any financial support/funding to participate in ISAN 2023? This funding might come from your university,  a grant, or another external source. (Choose the best answer at this moment.) *
[Optional Question] Please provide any feedback about ISAN 2022. Specifically, what did you like? What didn't work for you? Are there any changes you would suggest for ISAN 2023?
[Optional question] Similar to this year's symposium, we plan to have WORKSHOPS and a variety of AUTHOR SPOTLIGHT sessions at ISAN 2023. Do you have any recommendations for workshop topics, workshop facilitators, or authors for the spotlight sessions?
[Optional question] Each year we need help with reviewing symposium submissions and award nominations. If you willing to serve as a reviewer, please check any/all that apply. (For information about the 2023 awards, visit https://iaani.org/awards/)
[Optional question] The Journal of Autoethnography is always in need of manuscript reviewers. If you’re willing to review a manuscript, please provide 3-5 KEYWORDS about your research areas. If we receive a manuscript in your area(s), we may contact you for a review.
