Scoring and Adjudication:  The panel is made up of a music judge, visual judge, and general effect judge. In addition, there will be one judge each for Drum Major, Color guard, Percussion, and Drill Team/Majorette.

Awards: There are no numeric scores given. Trophies will be awarded to those bands with overall Superior and Excellent ratings, and Superior or Excellent ratings for each caption. An awards ceremony will held at the conclusion of the festival performances.

Registration Fee/Performance Bond: A $75 registration fee will be charged to all bands participating in the Coastal Empire Classic Marching Festival. Any bands that register after October 1st will be charged an additional $25 late fee. Georgia bands are required to post a $500 performance bond. Bands from outside Georgia will need to submit a $250 bond. This bond will be returned with the registration packet on the day of the marching festival.

Festival Policy: We want the students and directors involved in the Coastal Empire Classic to have a positive learning experience. We believe that helpful comments and constructive criticism add greatly to the students’ education.

Band Classifications
Class A:         Up to 40 Winds
Class AA:       41-64 Winds
Class AAA:    65-90 Winds
Class AAAA:  90+ Winds

Concessions:
A full concession stand will be open for the entire festival. Special arrangements can be made to feed your group before or after the festival performance times. Please support our program, and use the concession stand for at least one meal.
