Pinstripe People 2024 Survey
Hello everyone. It's time for my annual survey where I gauge what you like and don't like about the newsletter, and I give you a chance to weigh in on things I'm considering doing. I would really, really appreciate you taking five minutes to do this. In the past two I sent out, I didn't get a great response which was disappointing. Your honest answers - don't be shy - are very important to me so please fill it out. Thanks a bunch. Sal

Currently, each newsletter I send gets opened/read on average by about 56% of you which seems low to me since you are all subscribed because I assume you want to be. Please check which answer applies to you. *
Required
Right now, all the newsletters are sent at 7:30 a.m. If they were to go out at 8 or 8:30, maybe even 9, would that be OK with you? *
What time do you typically get around to reading Pinstripe People? *
Do you enjoy Pinstripe Past which focuses on Yankees history each Wednesday? 1 being no I'm not really into history; 2 being I read some but not all depending on the topic; and 3 being yes, I read them all and really enjoy them *
Would you like me to expand Pinstripe Past to also include stories about historic moments from all of MLB in some weeks? *
I know 2009 Yankees: The Last Championship just started, but do you think you'll enjoy that every Saturday? It will be just like last year's Hardball Hyperbole, hyper-focused on everything that happened in 2009. *
I am considering the following change to the format: On the weekdays, a daily newsletter the morning after each game that would also include a section with my thoughts on other games and news around MLB. And then the regular edition you've all been accustomed to on Monday that recaps the entire previous weekend series. What do you think? *
I'm wondering whether you click on the links I provide such as the YouTube game highlights, the Twitter videos, and the links to box scores. Click whatever applies to you and it can be multiple checks. *

Finally, I have to ask because it's important. Right now, everything I do is for free and will remain so. But the wave of the future for journalists is fee-based subscriptions. At some point, if I'm no longer working for the Democrat and Chronicle, would you be willing to pay for my writing, say $5 per month?

If you have any comments you'd like to leave, or suggestions you may have, fire away. I'll be reading everything. If not, no worries. Lastly, if you are not receiving the newsletter, it might be that it has been going to your spam or promotions folder and you're not seeing it. If that isn't the issue, email me direct.
