Signup sheet for a six-week online Zoom-based course of introductory impov for adults, with the Wellington Improvisation Troupe (WIT). This will run on Wednesday nights from 7-9pm. The course is suitable for any level of improv experience, and has been adapted for online training from the course we have run at the WHS Community Education Centre for the last 15 years.
Tutor: Ali Little. During her time with WIT Ali has performed in and produced shows, taught workshops, taken workshops with some of the best improvisors in the world, made an improvised short movie, built a Gorilla, travelled from Wellington to Loose Moose in Canada and Improvention in Canberra, made, exhibited and performed with masks and puppets, been on the committee several times and had a whole lot of fun taking photographs of shows. She is currently a Co-Creative Director of WIT.
By the end of this course, you'll have:
• Explored basic principles of improvisation
• Enjoyed interacting in a friendly, positive and supportive environment
• Developed more confidence, presentation and communication skills
• Experienced joyful moments of improvisation
Cost for the course is $60, but if this is difficult for you at the moment, please contact Ali (
lemondjinn@gmail.com) and we'll sort something out. Payment will be by bank transfer to WIT's account, unless you're based outside of New Zealand, in which case some cunning scheme probably involving a Paypal payment will be devised (again, contact Ali). The course will be limited to 14 participants.
Note that the course will be delivered via the Zoom online conferencing platform. You'll need to have a solid internet connection and a device with a camera and a microphone (inbuilt or external). A laptop or PC is best, while you can use Zoom on a phone, unless your phone has a super large screen, it's probably not going to give the best experience for a course. Check the website
