OCD Louisiana hosts a free virtual OCD/OC Spectrum Disorders Consultation Group for professionals, with an alternating schedule by month. Odd months the group meets on the third Tuesday at 7pm CT. Even months the group is on the 2nd Friday at 11am CT. Our group provides an opportunity for mental health practitioners and trainees in our region to discuss cases and learn about relevant resources to provide evidence-based treatment to individuals with OCD and OC Spectrum Disorders. Professionals in other healthcare disciplines are welcome.

Disorders of focus include OCD, Body Dysmorphic Disorder, Hoarding Disorder, Illness Anxiety Disorder, Trichotillomania, and Excoriation Disorder. Discussion of comorbid presentations, differential diagnoses, and related disorders is welcome. Evidence-based treatment of these disorders, across the developmental spectrum, will primarily be discussed with reference to cognitive behavioral and relational frame theories, and relevant psychotherapies including exposure and response prevention, acceptance and commitment therapy, and habit-reversal therapy, among others.
