Does your local want to work on the topic of Climate Emergency? Do you want to learn more about Climate Emergency together with other aegeeans? Do you want to organise activities and events and look for other locals and people interested in that?
This year AEGEE is launching a brand-new project to develop the network’s involvement regarding the thematics and Focus Areas. It is just a pilot for the moment but we truly think it can gain lots of success and become very interesting for the locals around the continent.
Our goal is:
Connect members from different locals with different experience backgrounds, creating a new concept on “Network Area” based on the interest on a sema thematic topic.
Organise many small local events on the topic of Climate Emergency all over Europe during spring - beginning of summer (several antennae not far away from each other can organise joint events)
Organise one big conference about Climate Emergency with external speakers in June or July.
The project is ideal for
locals who want to organise events, but do not know where to start or do not have enough experience
locals who have experience in organising events, but want more interaction with European Bodies
locals that want to bring their members more structured knowledge about Climate Emergency
What are the advantages of being part of the Thematic Area?
Sessions about Climate Emergency from CEWG where you decide about the topic.
The community of people who want to talk about climate stuff and do actions together (closed chat).
Information about external events and opportunities.
Help with grant applications from the CD side (including the information and sessions about different foundations, how to register your local and apply, how to write an application with the control check from our side).
Help with event management and speakers.
