Thank you for registering your child for Sweet Beet's Farm + Forest Club! 

We built our summer session to accommodate summer getaways; dates are à la carte, so families can choose which Thursdays work for them. 

Use this form to register for one, two, three... or all seven Thursdays of FFC Summer Session -- July 11th through August 22nd. 

Note: Summer hours are extended, 10am - 4pm, for six glorious hours of exploring the farm and surrounding forest.

Tuition is based on a self-selected sliding scale and on the number of Thursdays you choose. We ask that families please consider, from their current economic position, a generous amount to give. We are a nonprofit organization supported by community members, and any generosity above and beyond the base price makes offering sliding scale tuition possible. You can view the full scale on this form under "registration & tuition."

You can also choose a payment plan or to pay a different amount -- more or less (all the way to $0) -- based on your family's financial position.

Covid-19
While we will use our best efforts to keep your child safe from the Covid-19 virus, we cannot promise or guarantee that this or any other pathogen will not enter our group, and that by the very nature of the personal interaction that takes place in our programming, there is always a risk of your child becoming ill with this or any other communicable disease. 

Agreement:
No members of our family will visit the farm if we, or anyone we have been in close contact with, has a confirmed or suspected case of Covid-19.

I understand that we are obligated to comply with all Covid-19 guidelines adopted by the Kearsarge Food Hub, including, when and if deemed necessary by farm education staff, masking and social distancing. We assume the risk of the Covid-19 virus, and will not hold the Kearsarge Food Hub or any affiliate or employee thereof liable if any of our family members contracts the virus.

We at the Kearsarge Food Hub / Sweet Beet Farm are honored that you are entrusting us with the care of your child. We take that responsibility seriously and have standards, policies, and procedures in place to ensure the health and happiness of your child. We want to acknowledge, however, that programs that take place on farms and in forests are inherently risky, and accidents can happen.

Many of the skills your child will be learning (using various age-appropriate farm tools, building fires, shelter-building, woods exploration, etc.) include elements that may be potentially dangerous. Participants will be closely monitored by well-trained farm educators who will guide students in practicing these skills in a safe and respectful way. We believe that allowing children to navigate appropriate risks is a vital part of quality outdoor education. Agreement:

I recognize and acknowledge that there are inherent risks of physical injury in any outdoor education / recreation program and I hereby assume full responsibility for any liability, loss, claims, and demands that may accrue from any loss, damage or injury, including negligence that may arise from their participation. I certify that my child has had a physical within the last 6 months and is physically capable of participating in this program. I give permission for my child to use age-appropriate (as determined by KFH staff) tools under the supervision of farm educators during our programs.

I hereby (a.) release and discharge (b.) waive and relinquish and (c.) covenant not to sue the Kearsarge Food Hub (KFH), its respective administrators, directors, agents, officers, members, volunteers, employees, and owners and Lessees of premises on which activities take place from all liability, claims, demands, losses, or damage on my account caused or alleged to be caused in whole or in part by the negligence of any of the above named including the negligence of emergency operations.

It is my desire that my child be enrolled, as indicated in this application, subject to the above conditions.

Registration & Payments
This registration form must be completed and submitted and tuition received (unless you are requesting to pay a different amount or using a payment plan) before your child is considered fully registered. If tuition is not received (or alternate arrangements have not been made) before the start of the first class, the student will not be able to participate.

Withdrawals & Refunds
As registration spots are limited, please let us know of your plan to withdraw your child as soon as possible. For withdrawals more than two weeks before the start of the session, we will refund the full tuition, minus a $25 fee. Cancellations within two weeks of the start date will receive a refund in the amount of 75% of their payment, minus a $25 fee. If we are able to fill your child's spot before the start of the program, we will refund the full tuition. If after the first class you decide that the program is not a good fit for your child, we will refund the tuition for the remaining sessions, minus a $25 fee. Refunds will not be given after the start of the second class.
