CSCI - UA.0480 (Spring 2021) Grader/Tutor/Class Assistant Application

For All Positions
=====

Requirements:

* familiarity with JavaScript (front-end only ok) and HTML/CSS
* comfortable with server side web development (in any language, preferably JavaScript)
* comfortable debugging small to medium programs / web applications
* ability to clearly explain technical issues / bugs

Responsibilities:

For Tutor
=====

* hold weekly group tutoring sessions
* occasionally schedule and run workshops on special topics and reviews
* answer questions on piazza
* potentially come in during class during in-class labs/workshops
* 5 to 10 hours a week depending on availability

For Grader:
=====

* grade approximately 1 assignment per week by agreed upon deadline
* write functional tests
* work on software infrastructure for grading / assignment submission
* administrative work (tracking late assignments, closing repositories, etc.)
* grading is done from home (work remotely)
* 5 to 20 hours a week depending on availability


For Classroom Assistant
=====

* graduate students or recently graduated only
* grade in-class lab submissions
* potentially come in during class during in-class labs/workshops
* create quizzes
* participate in exam construction
* proctor exams
* grade short answer questions for exams
* potentially help with assignment materials (ideas, documentation, reference solution, etc.)
* administrative work (scanning exams, creating seating charts, etc.)
* 5 to 10 hours a week depending on availability

Compensation for Graders and Tutors
