• Please bring relevant materials related to your presentation
• Please be prepared with a time-flexible 15-20 minute presentation. We strongly urge interaction and engagement. Students will rotate through all sessions - please prepared to repeat your session several times.
• Time commitment - approximately 2 hours.
• Size of session groups - we anticipate 5-10 students per session, with about 40-50 total attending, and we will keep you updated with final numbers. Attending students will be coming from high schools, grades 9-12 in our service region of Dauphin, Cumberland, and Perry Counties

PCD provides students with an "artifact" (form to fill out) to demonstrate they have attended and learned about careers. This is used to comply with a PA Department of Education mandate.
What to be sure to include in your presentation:
Hands-on activities or demos if possible
Info about your industry, organization, and talent needs
What are the educational requirements for those positions- we like to demonstrate that there are opportunities for all, whether through on-the-job training, certification/apprenticeships, 2-year or 4-year postsecondary
degrees.
What are salary ranges for the careers you discuss?
What qualities do you do you look for in candidates, what hard/soft skills?
Please include stories that students can relate to. For example, discuss your own career path, your high school educational challenges and successes, what led you to this career?
