Wake PTA DEI Mini-Grant Application
The Wake PTA Council Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) committee is offering five mini-grants of $200 each to support the DEI development of PTA Units. We are providing funding to PTA Units that are interested in implementing DEI efforts to increase the inclusion and engagement of all families within PTA activities, provide students with new programs that emphasize the diversity of the school demographics, or events to ensure that fundraising is accessible, equitable, and inclusive. Grant funding could also be used towards professional staff development to promote school-wide programs centered on DEI.

The Wake PTA Council DEI Mini-Grant application is now open and applications will be reviewed monthly, until all funds are awarded.
All programming that utilizes the DEI grant funds should take place by no later than June 30, 2023. DEI grant applicants will be required to report on their DEI grant accomplishments during the Wake PTA Council DEI Workshop scheduled for May 10, 2023.

Applicants will receive notification by the tenth of the following month regarding their status.

All unit members who have paid dues in the current fiscal year to the Wake Council PTA are welcome to apply. To become a member for the 2022-2023 school year, please join at: https://www.wakepta.org/council-membership-for-local-units.  Please pay dues before completing this application.

We recommend that applicants are mindful of these deadlines relevant to their next General Membership meeting. Your unit may want to consider holding a vote on an adjusted budget to create a line item, so you may accept funds if you are awarded the grant.
