Avocat
What you can expect:  ‘Avocat' is French for 'Advocate', a biblical word to describe one of the roles of the Holy Spirit who advocates on our behalf as we pray. This course includes teaching with a Biblical foundation and will explore how we can draw near to our good Father with practical exercises. The focus will be to pray from a place of relationship and communion. Prayer is for everyone! Topics will include: The Privilege of Prayer, Partnering with God through Prayer, There’s No Such Thing as Unanswered Prayer and Praying through to the Heart of God. Joel Martin (from our MB mission organization Multiply) will co-facilitate this course with Pastor Connie.

Facilitated by: Pastor Connie Maier & Joel Martin

Faith@Work
What you can expect:  "In a work world that is increasingly competitive and insecure, people often have nagging questions: Why am I doing this work? Why is it so hard? And is there anything I can do about it? [...] We see that being a Christian leads us to see our work not as merely a way to earn money, nor as primarily a means of personal advancement, but a truly a calling—to serve God and love our neighbor." - Tim Keller

Join us as we discuss ways in which our faith influences and shapes our work and explore how to live as Christ followers in where we work. We'll be referring to Timothy Keller's book, Every Good Endeavor throughout our discussions.

Facilitated by: Kevin Willms & Erik Van Drunen
