Only U.S. or Canadian students between the ages of 14-18, still in secondary/high school, are eligible to apply for the Online Academy. This Application does require parental or legal guardian consent for students to apply and to participate in the Academy. We are only selecting 25 students; therefore, this will be a highly competitive process. As we are not requiring a GPA to qualify for attendance, the Letter of Recommendation and the student's essay are most important.
The Letter of Recommendation may be written by an Educator (formal, informal, out-of-school/after-school program educator, homeschool educator or school counselor). We do require information about the school, homeschool or student organization to which the student attends. As parents must give their consent for the student to complete the application, we are permitted to collect personal information regarding residency to certify U.S. or Canadian citizenship or permanent residency. Personally Identifiable Information will not be disclosed or shared with anyone other than Cubes in Space staff.
