The Planning Bill has been introduced to the Assembly! Over the next few months, Greater Canberra will be
1) Writing a submission to the ACT Legislative Assembly Inquiry into the Planning Bill.
2) Writing a submission on the Draft Territory Plan when it comes out in October or November.
3) Writing submissions and engaging in consultation on
each of the
9 draft District Strategies when they come out in October or November.
4) Engaging on the proposed design guides for apartments, townhouses, detached homes and other forms of development.
4) Continuing to engage in public communication and advocacy regarding Canberra planning reform.
5) Building coalitions with other organisations that share our goals of a more affordable, liveable and sustainable Canberra.
5) Continuing to make Development Application representations in support of worthy developments, including public and social housing.
6) Engaging in the heritage system, including submissions on proposed heritage place nominations that would adversely impact the affordability, liveability and sustainability of our city.
7) Continuing to develop our web and social media presence.
8) Preparing for our first-ever AGM and sorting out other governance-related things.
