Camper to a CIT - Challenge #1: How Will You Handle the Change from Camper to Counselor in Training Responsibilities? *
CITs at our camps have a lot of fun but also have a lot of responsibilities. Going from being a camper where you have much autonomy and few responsibilities to a role where you are asked to help with playing monsters, setting up mods, traveling with heroes, and creating props and creatures backstage can be jarring. You will receive training to help support and downtime to help recover but it is still a lot to do and it can be a rough adjustment from "camp is for me!" as a camper to "camp is all about them?". How do you think you will manage these new responsibilities?
Camper to a CIT - Challenge #2: How Will You Handle Going from a Peer to a Counselor in Training for your Friends? *
Many of our CITs are still friends or close in age to other campers who have not opted for the CIT program. You will be asked to keep secrets, treat them the same as all other campers, and potentially need to distance yourself from friends who are unable to respect your new position. This can be hard on anyone. What tools or strategies do you think you can employ?
Where are you experienced and where do you think you can learn, with regard to being a CIT? *
CiTs are expected to attend all sessions of the camp. Will you be available from June 26th (training) to August 10th (end of Session 3)? Or will you need exceptions? *
Please list 3 references (Name, email, phone number, and relationship to person). *
Please list 3 times and dates you would be available for a Zoom interview, excluding Sunday & Monday: *
Returning CITs are asked to Focus in One of Three Areas: Rate Each of These for Yourself *
Even as a first year CIT it is helpful to know where you want to spend your time even though it will be an even spread during your first year. 1 is least interested and 4 is most interested
