EYAO is introducing a new concept for 2024: Animal families. Each animal family is responsible for a different part of the camp. When you join us, you'll pick an animal family and become a part of the planning, organisation and day to day of the camp:

Build Bunnies - These heroic, almost legendary creatures arrive in the barren wasteland and build our queer utopia.

Responsible for build, also for strike, power and lighting. We also need someone to join for build cooking and fluffing (looking after our bunnies with snacks and other treats)
Great for someone who can spare a week before Nowhere to join the build crew or a few days after the burn for strike.
Time commitment: Before - High | During Nowhere: Low. | After: High (You'd be expected to do at least build or strike)

Fantastic Foxes - These fierce creatures are responsible for organising day to day camp operations.

Responsible for LNT, Camp Hydration, MOOP Sweeps, Consent
Great for someone who just wants to arrive at the camp and contribute mostly through a few well defined shifts during the burn, but doesn't have much bandwidth to engage on the more abstract stuff or in the months on the run up to the burn
Time commitment: Before - Very Low | During Nowhere: Med-High. | After: None

Recipe Rats - These radiant, ravishing rodents are responsible for organizing breakfast and dinner in our lovely kitchen

Responsible for Brunch and dinner, snack kitchen.
Great for someone who loves to cook, likes to organise and do well defined shifts during the burn, but doesn't have much bandwidth to engage in the months on the run up to the burn
Time commitment: Before - Very Low | During Nowhere: Med-High. | After: None

Flamboyant Flamingos - These brilliant birds organise and execute the EYAO party, the Queer Cabaret, sunset cocktail hour and look after our workshop space and schedule.

Responsible for Party, Workshop space & scheduling, Cabaret
Great for someone who can spare some time before the event and liaise with other camp members and nobodies, and has good skills around events, performances, music, scheduling, and everything else concerned with entertainment at camp.
Time commitment: Before - Med-Low | During Nowhere: Medium | After: None

Organisational Owls - Our camp leads and frugal feathered finance experts

Responsible for Finance, Recruitment, Planning, Nowhere Liaison, Escalations, Co-ordination
Great for someone that can spare many hours of time before the burn and has management and organisational skills.
Time commitment: Before - Very-High | During Nowhere: Med-High. | After: Medium

Note 1 - We expect some level of engagement beforehand by joining the Telegram groups and get to know the people in your family, as well as attend pre-event camp meetings.

Note 2 - Joining a team does not mean that you're just gonna work with that team. It means that you're going to be part of the group that plans, ensures that these things happen and will likely do more shifts there than in the other teams. So

A Flamingo will help plan the party and play a big part in setting it all up, but might also do a kitchen shift or help with build
A Fox will help ensure we have a rota to get the ice and recycling taken to W&R zone, will likely do some of those shifts, but might DJ at the party and also stay for strike.
