This is the form to fill out to declare interest in volunteering at the LWS Night Shelter. After filling this form, you will be added to a Whatsapp groupchat where we will give you more information about how to fill out the registration form and sign up for shifts.

The shelter runs a catering service during the evenings, providing warm food and drinks donated by local organisations to those who need it most. They aim to provide a positive, relaxed environment for people who may otherwise have a difficult living situation. Whilst volunteering you will help out organising food donations, taking orders, serving food and drinks, but most of all being part of creating this welcoming atmosphere for guests. The shelter is also looking for people to volunteer as drivers, collecting and bringing food donations to the shelter, or as bakers making food to be served at the shelter. There are lots of opportunities to socialise and make friends throughout a shift, both with other volunteers and with guests.  

The shelter has shifts every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evening, lasting a couple of hours. Signing up for shifts is very flexible, meaning that you can volunteer whenever you have a free evening and fit the volunteering around your university work.
