We ask all students moving in early to the residence halls, regardless of age, to not engage in the use of alcohol, marijuana, or other drugs. Marijuana and other drugs are never permitted in the residential system, but if you are 21 years or older, alcohol can be consumed in the residence halls (though not in public areas nor in the presence of minors); however, we are asking you to agree to not use any substances prior to September 16th, 2022, or you may be asked to leave until the residence halls officially open to students. Additionally students are expected to follow all Housing policies and the Student Code of Conduct during this time. Failure to do so may lead to you being asked to leave until the residence halls officially open to all students. Being in the residence halls prior to the academic year starting is a privilege, not a right. *

There are various reasons for students participating in the Raider Wilderness Experience (RWE) to return early and require university housing. These reasons may include, but are not limited to, sickness, injury, natural disaster, family emergency, or conduct-related issues.

In any case, if students need to return early from their RWE trip and stay in university housing, they should be aware that they will be responsible for covering the associated housing costs.
