AZINE '24 Questions
azine is an asian/american arts & zine collective with a queer, woman-centered focus. we want to provide a creative outlet for asian/american students on campus, as well as a space to learn about ourselves, our histories, and how to organize as a political force. We recognize identity exploration and creativity as something essential to our community!

This form serves two purposes: seeing ideas and possibilities that members of the collective can implement, as well as seeking a few more members to join our more time-consuming administrative organizing team. We're looking to generally implement more creative initiatives and for a few more folks to take on the responsibility of running a collective.

Even if we won't be able to take you onto the administrative team, we hope to encourage engagement or collaboration with the collective! We are shaped by you all and always welcome the help. We meet on Sunday evenings 7:30 - 8:30 PM and generally hold workshops on Fridays 5:30 - 7:30 PM; we are interested in hosting events/workshops/socials at different times as well. Please answer to the best of your ability; we want to know you genuinely!

Some things that azine focuses on: student-organizing, transpacific issues, queer-identity, intersectional activism, creatives & artistic practice, asian/american culture, zines & self-publishing, leveraging the resources in NYC + Columbia University (all the asian creatives and intellectuals!), and decolonization.
