By enrolling in home education, the parent/guardian assumes all educational responsibilities regardless of the mechanism used to educate their child. This includes curriculum, books, technology and/or virtual program(s).
Parents/Guardians may want their child to be affiliated with a school or agency that issues grades, credits and diplomas. Students enrolled in Home Education do not receive a high school diploma or certificate of completion FOR ANY GRADE from our office.
Our office does not have staff that provides academic advisement (i.e. school counselors). Parents could utilize the district’s Student Progression Plan to assist with academic decision making options.
