The Regional English Language Office in Brazil invites English educators from Binational Centers in Brazil and from Pontes Americanas to host "Watch Parties" of our American English Live Series 14 to teachers from their region. Hosts will be responsible to invite teachers and organize 2-hour meetings for the 6 webinars on the series, as well as keeping attendance of participants and guiding them through discussions.

Target audience(s)

- Pre-service teachers that can complement their studies through the series;
- In service teachers that can use the opportunity for continuing education;


Objectives

- Offer professional development to teachers from public schools, free courses and private institutions;
- Engage RELO Brazil's audience in the AE Live Series
- Give hosts and their institutions the opportunity to develop a closer relationship with English teachers from their region.


Structure

- The watch party will have a duration of 2 hours with a two-part discussion. The meetings will have a 30-minute discussion before watching the webinar to activate previous knowledge, then participants will watch the 1 hour webinar and finish with another 30-minute discussion and conclusion; These meetings can happen online or in person;
- Hosts are responsible to announce and promote the opportunity for teachers in their region;
- Each group should have from 5 to 20 participants;
- RELO Office will provide certificates for facilitators and participants who attend 4 out 6 webinar;
- Hosts and participants are encouraged to always answer the Quiz after each webinar in order to receive another certificate from American English.
