This is a form to register your interest in using the Flazéda space to run a production and secure a discount.

We are a Social Enterprise with a mission to elevate alternate performing artists and their artforms.
Our values are Diversity, Inclusivity, Equality, and Respect.

For events that align with our values, we are willing to provide discounts making venue hire and tech support totally FREE.

We won the Canberra Local Business Awards for OUTSTANDING PERFORMING ARTS in 2020 and we are a Social Enterprise dedicated to supporting alternate performing artists and their artforms.

We run classes and shows/events by night! We are a home for Burlesque, Circus, Belly dance, Pinup, Drag, Comedy, Cabaret and so much more with multi award winning artists available to support your professional development and make your event even more special!

If you're interested in alternate / fringe / sub-culture / underground performing arts, or just looking for a place to go for a fun event or to hold a celebration, then you've come to the right place.

~About the Money~

If you/your show has a positive social impact then we would like to provide venue hire discounts! Each area you can address will amount to a further discount with possibility of free venue hire. Areas that you may identify as areas of social impact include if your theme, cast, or creatives are; LGBTQIA+, First Nations Australians, Deaf or lived experience of disability, culturally or linguistically diverse, and/or more than 50% of creatives identify as female or non-binary.

~The Space and the Tech~

Flazeda has RGB parcan lights and two front of house speakers connected to the Bio Box.
Basic lighting options are available and can be controlled on a lighting board in the Bio Box.
Sound is controlled through an 8-channel sound desk in Bio Box and music is typically played through QLab on an in-house Mac Laptop. Music can also be played through bluetooth and AUX cable.

Included at the venue are also options for complimentary use of: x2 wireless microphones, x2 DIs, a digital piano, and a projector.

Where you show checks all the boxes (aligning with our values), we provide the venue and the AV technical staff 100% complimentary.The base venue hire for a 2hr show (plus 3hr bump in/rehearsal) is $250, plus $150 for sound and lighting technical operator (total $400). Additional rehearsal/tech time is $40ph. But for every box you check, you can deduct from the total fee
Will you run two consecutive shows on the one night (5pm / 7pm / 9pm)?
Priority goes to producers who are running double-events (for efficiency of venue set up/pack down)

Bar / Food Options
Flazeda retains bar takings, while producers retain all door takings. Producers can request specific offerings to be available at the bar during their event.
