The purpose of ESSA Title II is to provide grants to school district, local educational agencies, to increase student academic achievement through improving teacher and principal quality and increasing the number of highly qualified teachers in the classroom and highly qualified principals.  In Bureau Valley we have used this grant for professional development, graduate level class reimbursement, mentors and/or class size reduction,
The district is required to complete an annual needs assessment for all ESSA revenue streams.
