Triple Threat Students are required to attend either our Ballet Intensive, July 25-29 or Dance Intensive, August 1-5 as part of the audition process, you can enroll for either or both of these on our website.  The individual portion of the audition will be conducted on Friday, August 5, an email sign up will go out the week prior.

An informational meeting for new prospective families will take place on July 19th at 6pm.

For the audition:
Students must prepare 16-32 bars of a song in their range.  Musical theater songs are preferred, and students should know the show that the song is from and/or the writer of the song.  For this audition, students may audition to karaoke or piano backing tracks.  Backing tracks should not have guide vocals and auditioning acapella is not advised.  Tracks should be cued up on a mobile device and handed to the music director when the student enters the audition room.  Mobile devices should be set to airplane mode or have notifications turned off.

Students should prepare a one minute memorized and acted monologue. Monologues can be found in monologue books, plays, or online behind paywalls.  Alternatively, students can also use age-appropriate poetry.  Monologues will only be seen by the director if requested during the audition.

Headshots and resumes are accepted but not required.  Having them conveys preparedness and experience.  Headshots should be 8X10 and resumes should be stapled or glued onto the back.  Resumes should be one page and should be stapled at all four corners so that when the headshot is flipped over the resume is readable and doesn’t flop.  If the resume paper extends past the headshot, those edges should be trimmed.  These may be handed to the director when the student enters the audition room.

Students do not need to pre-prepare any material for dance call, they will be observed during the Intensives to make up the dance portion of their audition.
