What is Safe Politics for Women?
Safe Politics for Women is a research and advocacy project by NETRI Foundation, which aims at addressing gender-based violence in political/public spheres with an aim to make politics safe for women through a regulatory mandate/legislation that makes political parties PoSH compliant. We will be doing this by creating a public discourse through evidence-based research on the implementation of PoSH and its impact on women's participation in political space. The project aims at organizing 20 gender-based violence champions who wish to make Politics a safer space for women.
What will the champions get from the engagement?
The champions will be conducting on-ground survey to generate evidence based research on the significance of "safety" and implementation of PoSH in political sphere. For the purpose, champions will go through the knowledge on PoSH Act 2013 and learn survey and research techniques.
Through this they will generate understanding of the implementation of POSH on the ground and become instrumental in connecting dots, and sensitizing others about the importance of making politics a safer space for women.
To become a Champions you will:
Conduct Evidence-based guided Surveys on the ground
Curate conversations on the importance of Safety for women in politics.

NETRI Foundation is a non-partisan, women's political incubator and aggregator. To put together a program like this, resources are pooled in from donations. A program like this ideally costs Rs.10,000 per person but we are offering it for FREE for our first Champions, and expect ethical commitment to the work.
