Memoir writing chat
I will go on line and chat with your students on April 16. I have prepared part of a longer talk about memoir. I can do a Q and A after the talk. I will leave the students with a writing exercise. If they like this experience, we can do more. I prepared almost three hours.
Memoir writing part one
This is a 20 minute lecture on the value and importance of telling your own story. Memoir writing or journaling is the best way to begin uncovering the undiscovered self. This talk includes why personal writing is important, who owns collective stories, and how do we begin to tell the truth to ourselves and about ourselves. The students will be left with a writing exercise they can work on in their own time.
