This Covid-19 awareness toolkit has been developed by the 𝗙𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗰𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗲' Health and Safety Advisory Group and ASE Consulting in order to provide members with a resource that they can use to provide an introductory briefing/induction to their staff, and others who work with them, on the risks presented by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. All information was in line with guidance at time of publication.

Introduction

𝗚𝗼𝗮𝗹
This toolkit aims to help increase general health and safety awareness for all workers with potential exposure to the SARS-CoV-2 virus that causes COVID-19.

𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗯𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀

- After attending participants will be able to:
- Understand the basic facts about SARS-CoV-2 virus and Covid-19 disease.
- Understand employer and employee responsibilities
- Be aware of the key steps in worker protection and infection prevention and control.
- Be clear on the methods to prevent and respond to COVID-19 exposure in the workplace.

𝗣𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗲
You must also be trained to your employer’s site-specific policies and procedures. Training must include requirements for wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to specific physical distance and hygiene etc. measures.
