Workshop details:

In this workshop, we’ll start by getting a grasp on common data and coding jargon, followed by sessions on regular expressions (a mini programming language for pattern matching), OpenRefine (a tool for batch editing textual data), and Python (a general-purpose, user-friendly programming language with lots of applications to textual and data analysis). This is a two-day introductory workshop for anyone interested to learn how to use computational tools in their work or research.

This workshop will require installing software on your computer BEFORE coming to the workshop.  We will email you installation instructions with your registration confirmation.

PLEASE ONLY SIGN UP IF YOU ARE ABLE TO ATTEND THE ENTIRE EVENT.  We are only able to accommodate a limited number of learners, so we want to make sure the spots are allocated to learners who can attend the entire event.
