Sometimes negative perspectives and dialogue surround the label of "Foster Youth,” but as caregivers, you know there's so much more than this stereotype!
This class will provide tips and insight you can use from the workplace to your home to help you start to change negative perceptions associated with foster care; Challenge the stereotyping and introduce positive attributes to let your youth recognize their capabilities and empower them to redefine their identities positively!
This training fulfils: Section 8-01(e) (1) (4) of the Written Directives for Resource Parents. Certificates will be provided to those that complete the class and registration materials.

Dr. Judy Sullivan Osterhage is a Parent Coach Consultant with Parenting Matters & an Early Childhood Specialist. She holds a Doctorate in Elementary Education, and with that, has brought educational trainings to foster and adoptive parents for over 30 years. Judy's research focuses on early trauma effects on brain development and behavior. Judy's classes are informative and enjoyable...come and benefit from her wealth of experience!
