O Observatório de Desporto, Educação, Comunidades (ODEC), integrado no Centro de Investigação e Intervenção Educativas (CIIE) organiza o 2nd International Meeting on Sport, Education and Communities: An Appeal for Democracy. Trata-se de um seminário que se enquadra na vivência dos 50 anos do 25 de abril, pelo que um dos temas centrais será a Democratização no Desporto. É ainda um seminário que reforça os quatro eixos temáticos do Observatório de Desporto Educação e Comunidades - Desporto, Educação, Saúde e Ambiente numa estreita simbiose que realça o valor socioeducativo do Desporto e o seu potencial transformador das/nas comunidades de pertença, inclusão e justiça social. A inclusão, a democratização do desporto, a responsabilidade social e a ética constituem alguns dos principais tópicos da agenda.

The Observatory of Sport, Education and Communities (ODEC), integrated in the Centre for Educational Research and Intervention (CIIE) is organising the 2nd International Meeting on Sport, Education and Communities: An appeal for Democracy. It's a seminar that fits into the experience of the 50th anniversary of 25th of April, so one of the central themes will be Democratisation in Sport. It is a seminar that reinforces the four thematic areas of the Observatory of Sport, Education and Communities - Sport, Education, Health and Environment - in a close symbiosis that highlights the socio-educational value of Sport and its transformative potential for communities of belonging, inclusion and social justice. Inclusion, the democratisation of sport, social responsibility and ethics constitute some of the main topics on the agenda.
