A working group should have a work-product or deliverable. It may start with a need or problem and may or may not have specifically determined deliverables at the onset. It should be something the community is large enough to support with a specific goal in mind.
The US-RSE supports the creation of working groups (WG) to fuel the community's needs. A US-RSE WG has four requirements:
- Uniqueness
- Two co-chairs
- A formal proposal (via this form)
- Socialize the idea in a community call
This form will be reviewed by the Group Management Working Group. Once approved, your new WG will be added to the official US-RSE WG website [
https://us-rse.org/about/working-groups/] and a new Google group and slack channel will be created by Group Management.
