Phased Reopening of Trinity
Trinity does appreciate that this is a challenging time, and extremely worrying for many people.  Therefore, as we begin to prepare for a phased reopening of the school, we are very keen to hear the views of all our parents, staff and pupils.  Safety of our pupils, staff and families is paramount and your views are key to the decisions we make. We are not going to be rushing into anything.  We want to be able to open our school slowly to mitigate as many issues as possible and keep us all as safe as we possibly can.

We are currently working on a plan to be able to gradually re-open the school in a safe manageable way.  Below is a list of the things that we have already put in place, or are considering putting in place, to support a safe phased return:

* Hand sanitisers have been installed at each of the school's entrances.
* We have increased our cleaning rotas to ensure all surfaces are cleaned throughout the day.
* Pupils are reminded to wash hands throughout the day.
* Staggered drop off times and areas.
* Staggered break times.
* Staggered lunchtimes.
* Smaller classes.
* Lunches eaten in their designated classroom.
* Zoned play areas for each group of pupils.
* Designated classrooms.
* Designated seats and desks (areas will be disinfected during any changeover of groups).
* Designated learning resources for each child.
* Part-time timetables.
* Limited movement around the buildings.
* Staggered collection times and areas.

Following government recommendations, not all year groups will return immediately and home-schooling will continue during a phased return.  The government has also confirmed that families will NOT be penalised for keeping their children off school during this pandemic. Further guidance for parents and carers regarding  the reopening of schools can be found here:

We have set up a lot of structures and have thought through many scenarios.  We feel it is vital that we seek the views of all our parents, pupils and staff BEFORE we move forward - so that we are all on this journey together.
