CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATION: PLEASE READ ATTENTIVELY
This workshop is designed to be a collaborative event supporting co-construction of knowledge. We aim to build collective and constructive dialogues around key questions and produce new contribution to approaching this subject.

This workshop adopts the format of different rounds of debate. You may choose to participate in all or only some of these rounds, organised in different Blocks of time.  The event does not have keynote talks or lectures and is mostly grounded in the collective debates, albeit following a semi-structured methodology. Nevertheless, the organisers may lead some short presentations to the group regarding the main topics and outcomes of the workshop previously held, under the same theme, in September 2021, and of the different rounds of debate for new coming participants. The workshop will be facilitated by the Organisers following a particular methodology to guide the dialogues and the debates.

It is possible that the outcomes of the meeting represent interesting enough contribution to warrant some kind of sharing and publication. In this case all participants will be informed and invited to contribute to the preparation of the publications, post-event. Given the collaborative nature of the event, all publications will assume all participants as co-authors and eventually the organisers as Editors, with or without other participants, who volunteer for the role. Participants may express the wish to not be identified as an author. If they don't want to be associated with the outcomes they will, nevertheless, be acknowledged in such publications in the role of a participant in the event, unless they explicitly inform the Organisers/Editors that they do not wish to be named in the acknowledgements. They may do so by contacting Ana Teixeira de Melo to anamelopsi@gmail.com or complexthinking.project@gmail.com. The organisers may author publications regarding the process, methodology and dynamics of the meeting, namely focused on its methodologies, and/or a brief session report, but all publications pertaining to the contents and collective achievements of the event will assume the co-authorship of all participants, in the terms previously described. For this purpose, participants authorise the use of the data collected for the evaluation of the session, which will be collected anonymously (e.g. through an online form).

The organisers may conduct research activities (e.g. online survey; qualitative analysis of the videos) focused on the evaluation of the event and its processes. By registering to the event, participants are consenting with participating in these research activities and/or that data pertaining to their participation is used, namely the video and audio recordings of the sessions. The workshop will be video and audio-recorded in order to support its documentation and any future publications. These recordings may be used by the organisers to conduct an evaluation of the processes and methodology of the workshop. In any publication pertaining to these research activities, no individual participant will be identified or associated with any particular result. Confidentiality will be ensured at this level. Nevertheless, the participants may be identified as being a part of the group who participated in the event, unless otherwise stated, as described above.

Participants are expected to keep your video on for most of the duration of the sessions, as we expect to engage in live dialogues and to build connections between participants.

The videos will be kept by the organisers for a period of 2 years, to support any follow-up work or publication, and then destroyed. They will not be shared except, through private channels, with the group of participants who agree on confidentiality terms, namely not to share or reveal the contents of the video with anyone else outside the group except in particular circumstances agreed by all and contracted in future agreements.

The event will take place in two online platforms which will be used simultaneously: Zoom and Miro.

Participants will need a stable and strong internet connection.

Participants may wish to create a (free) account in the platform Miro  (www.miro.com), but it is not mandatory. A link to a Miro board will be shared during the event, which will initiate on the Zoom platform.

Given that the quality of the group work will depend on the quality of the relationships established participants will be invited to participate in some online, asynchronously, ice-breaking activities, before the workshop and to share some information about themselves, their work and their contexts.

I am aware that by removing my consent I will no longer participate in the workshop. However, any contributions that I have already made cannot be removed. I may, nevertheless, choose to remove my name from any public list of participants and-or co-authors of any published work resulting from this event.
