Student campers will be assigned to workshops based partly on your answers to the following. Each workshop description precedes a question.

ASL for Worship: "This workshop will teach the use of American Sign Language (ASL) to interpret and sign a worship song. Students will learn the true signs and prepare a piece for Friday night's program."

Choir: "Whether you are an experienced choir member or have never sung in a group before, young men and young women who can carry a tune are invited and encouraged to participate in the fun of choir!  We will be singing enjoyable songs that honor God."

Choosing Songs for Worship:  "Ephesians 5:19 tells us to sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs.  This workshop will focus on choosing the congregational songs that help each local church body to praise and worship God."

Creative Writing: "Let's explore the ways that we can use our writing gifts to honor God and share our faith.  Projects may include writing for worship, devotionals, and other settings."

Dance: "The Bible tells us that one of the ways we can worship God is through dance. Both experienced and new dancers are welcome."

Dowel Rod/Stick Drama: "How do you tell a story or lead worship using two sticks, body movement, and no speaking or singing?  Come to this workshop and find out!"

Drama: "Do you love storytelling and acting? In this drama workshop we will practice drama games, prepare for Friday night's program, and hone our acting skills to better share the love of Christ."

Drums for Praise & Worship:  "We will explore playing methods and other realities of playing drums and percussion as part of a praise/worship team."

Guitars for Praise & Worship:  "We will explore playing methods and other realities of playing acoustic and electric guitar as part of a praise/worship team." 
*
Keyboards for Praise & Worship:  "We will explore playing methods and other realities of playing keyboards as part of a praise/worship team."

Photography/Video: “Using digital visual arts like photography and videography can help enhance worship and build the community life of a church.  We will work on some camp-specific projects during the week." 

Campers will need to bring their own digital cameras each day.

Public Speaking:  "1 Peter 3:15 tells us to always be ready to explain our hope as believers, so this workshop will focus on developing our public speaking skills."

Songwriting:  "The songs we sing in worship help us praise, worship, and grow in our relationships with God.  In this workshop we will discuss how to write songs for your church today, using engaging lyrics, accessible music, and accurate theology.  If campers have songs they have previously written or are writing, please bring them to the workshop."

Spiritual Disciplines for Worship:  "In this workshop we will explore how prayer, Bible study, and other personal disciplines help us grow in our relationships with God and our capacity to worship."

Video Editing:  "In today's media-driven culture, how do we use videos to spread the Gospel?  This workshop will introduce video editing skills, with the goal of preparing a video for our Friday night program."  

**Campers who prefer this workshop MUST be able to bring their own laptop computer each day of camp.

Vocalists for Praise & Worship: “Being able sing is only a small part of being a vocalist leading worship. We will explore both the spiritual qualities and practical skills of vocally leading a congregation to worship in Spirit and in Truth."

I understand that if they are early (before 8:45 a.m. Tuesday through Friday) or late (after 3:15 p.m. Monday through Thursday) my camp account will be assessed a $10 fee for each event, unless there is a family emergency communicated to the camp director.
