Students:
The Fremont School District wants our students to be leaders. Providing each student with a Chromebook will be a great beginning. The district is excited to be able to offer all high school students (beginning in 9th grade) a Chromebook and protective sleeve to use throughout high school.
The goal in providing a device to the students is to allow better access to technology resources and help them become successful learners. The teachers will be using Chromebooks to enrich instructional practices in the classroom, (i.e. research, collaboration, and virtual field trips).
You will be responsible for the device and protective sleeve that has been assigned to you. Part of your responsibilities include transporting the Chromebook in the protective sleeve and caring for it to avoid damage. Be sure to take the Chromebook home and bring it to school each school day fully charged and ready to use. The Asset ID and Serial Number tags must remain visible (do not remove). Please do not personalize the Chromebook itself, such as adding stickers, permanent marker, etc and remember to treat the Chromebook responsibly.
The Chromebook and protective sleeve assigned to you will remain the property of the district until you graduate. Upon graduation the ownership of the Chromebook and case will transfer to you. If you leave the District prior to graduation, you will be expected to return the device with protective sleeve and charger before checking out. If you transfer to a different school prior to graduation, your transcript will not be sent until the Chromebook and protective sleeve have been returned to the school.
